In continuation to my post of the 7/12/03...
No, I am not on a network and my PC is a private PC, with
no networking with other computers.
I tried to do what you've suggested but when I open the
Device Manager, I dont get any option as a CDRom. The
only options that i can see, in relation to the drives is
the Floppy Disk Drive and the Floppy Disk controller.
Thers's no mention of a CDRom.
Also I am working on a Windows XP system.
And as I mentioned before, the problem got fixed on its
own in the past, when a similar thing had happened, but
it doesnot seem to do it this time.
Hope this would shed some more light on the problem.
