CD key and Updates

I'm running OS 10.1.2 on a G5 and downloaded the 10.1.2 Update. After
installing it I was asked for the "CD key" and I used the one that
came with the original CD, but the installer said it wasn't valid. I
double checked code and tried three time with no luck. Any
suggestions?

First, make sure once again that you're entering the key correctly -
the B's look a lot like 8s, etc.

Second, the 10.1.2 (SR-1) update disabled keys that were either
known to be pirated or were in wide circulation on the internet
(i.e., had been shared).

If you bought a legitimate copy of Office, you can contact MS
Customer Service to get a new one. See
