CD key not working with upgrade

M

Michele

I was told that I needed to upgrade to 10.1.2 in order to fix the
crash problem with OS 10.2.8. However, I can not get my CD key to work
with the update. Only my husband's will work, with the obvious
conflict since we are on a network---can't both have programs open.

Can anyone help me with this?

First make sure you're entering it correctly - capital b's and 8's
look a lot alike.

If it still doesn't work, contact MS Product Support Services at

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;CNTACTMS

or use the phone number that came in your OS X package. You'll need
to have proof of purchase - the CD case with the product number may
suffice, I don't know...

Starting with SR-1 (update 10.1.2), MS disabled product keys that
were known to be pirated or in wide distribution. If you purchased
your copy via eBay or another non-dealer source, you may have gotten
a pirated copy.
