Anyone know who I contact for a new CD Key for my kids academic version of

If it's still installed, you can get it with Aida32 Enterprise Ed. It's free
from www.aida32.hu or Keyfinder, also free, from www.magicaljellybean.com (IIRC
it doesn't yet work for Office 2000)

If it's Office 2000 or later you can get a new key from Microsoft (for a
small fee), anything pre Office 2000 you're outa luck!

If you've binned the paper case, you've binned the CD Key :-o(

Just an apology.
I have been emailed off group suggesting I am a thieving pirate. Perhaps my
post did read that way. I have asked for a "new" key, but what I need to
know is how to replace my key and through the proper channels.
Most responses have been helpful and thanks to those who have tried to
assist. I have now emailed MS and hope I have the right department.
For those who thought I was after a cheap option, apologies.

Regards

Bill

Hi Bill,

No, your post did not read that way. :)

And I doubt an email to Microsoft will help you obtain a new key. If
it is a retail version contact Microsoft at (800) 936-5700 or if
outside the US see this site: http://microsoft.com/worldwide

If the software came preinstalled on your PC (OEM version) then you'll
need to contact the manufacturer for a replacement key.

If the OEM will not provide you with a replacement key contact
Microsoft and explain the problem to them. It is my understanding they
will generate a new key however you could incur a nominal fee for this
service.
