CDO and different versions of Outlook

I was reading the book, CDO and Mapi programming. It
mentioned that because of the security updates from MS,
CDO is disabled on Outlook 98. Since we need to support
multiple versions of Outlook, including 98, I really need
to know if my code using CDO will be working with all
different versions of Outlook. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. Since all the security updates have been deployed,
what can we do if CDO has been removed? Is there a way to re-install CDO?
If that's the right step, shall we apply the security updates again
afterwards? Thanks.

to restore CDO to OL98.
