CDO Error with Outlook 2007

C

Chaplain Doug

Outlook 2007. Now when opening Outlook 2007 I get the following error dialog:

Could not install Collaboration Data Objects for the following reason:
Failed to install Outlook CDO: ConfigureFeature, Product, Feature,
InstallState.

Followed another dialog:

Please install CDO before using The Raiser’s Edge Outlook Synchronization
tool.

I do not know what a CDO is and do not know what to do to remedy the
situation. This error did not occur under Outlook 2003. Thanks for the ehlp.

Dear Sue:

I retrieved your solution last week and applied it. It worked! I forgot to
come back and say thanks. THANKS! God bless.

CDO is a programming library which some applications use to automate Outlook. It is not included in Outlook 2007, but you can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...0d-c997-4de1-986f-24f081725d36&displaylang=en

Dear Sue:

My problem with this came back after I reinstalled Outlook 2003 (thus having
Outlook 2007 AND Outlook 2003 installed on my system). I tried reinstalling
the CDO as you mentioned. It said it finished successfully, but I still get
the error telling me it is not there when I bring up Outlook 2007. I
unstalled Outlook 2003 and reinstalled the CDO, but I continue to get the
error. Any suggestions? Thanks and God bless.
