Cdrw Missing registry Keys?

I have just followed procedure to correct the problem of not having a recording tab in the properties box. When I have reached the end of the registerykey to change the value there is no driver volume(guid).
Q1 how do I replace that ke
Q2 do i have to reinstall the driver from a cd as it is an old cdrw drive but is compatible with xp.

What is the procedure you followed?
What does this have to do with Word?
