Cdrw problem

I had ro use the reinstall disk due to some problems. Immediately after
installing the disk my computer D drive will not work. I can not reinstall the
drivers as they are on disk. I have looked at microsoft, but am having NO luck
at all.
Anyone point me in the right direction.
