ceate new office document option missing

I recently upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003 on my
Windows XP box. I used to be able to go to Start->All
Programs and there was a button for Create New Office
Document that would bring up the dialog box to create a
new document based on the various templates. Those have
now disappeared. Is there a way for me to get them back?

Right-click on the Desktop and choose "New". They should be there. If not D/L
the TweakUI Powertoy for XP from MS and it will allow you to choose what you
want to appear in the "New" context menu (among other things). It's under "My
Computer">Templates.

Hi Joe,

The Open and New Office Document icons are no longer
default install options for Office 2003. You can
add them by adding the features through your
Microsoft Office 2003 choice in Add/Remove Programs
in the Windows Control panel.
