Cell and chart do not update

In my one reasonbly complex spreadsheets the charts and some cells do not
update automatically...

I have selected auto update (excell 2003)

Even when I Ctrl-Alt-F9 the sheet it is not updated.. Save-as do the trick..
hope someone can help me!!!!
