Cell Background Image

The option to in the cell and table properties menu... to make the background
an image... is grayed out for me in all situations.

Does anybody have any idea what the problem is?

The browser setting in your page options must be set to IE and Netscape
Navigator. Cell background images were not widely supported in all browsers
when FP was released. FP defaults to using features that are common to IE
and Navigator. This means turning some things off. In the Page Options
change the browser setting to IE only and select the most recent version. Be
warned though, this will turn on other things such as the drawing tools that
work very badly across browsers so keep in mind it may let you play with
other things that will make your site less attractive across many browsers.
