Cell format

When I type a 12 digit number in to a cell it
automatically get changed by excel

Example

123456789111 shows as 1.23457E+11
The cell format is set to General. It appears ok if cell
is set to nuber but I would think that General meant the
data would appear as you input it

Please Help!!!!!

Hi

Increasing the column width would solve this problem.
Doouble lick when u get the plus sign when u place your
cursor on that column's header.

Another way is to choose, Format -> column -> width and
increase it.

You need to change it to number and not general. It will
work
