Cell Formats (like StyleSheets)

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel I cannot find the way to store some characteristics (font, size, ....) of cell-formatting to own formats (like stylesheets, for reusing them)
There are just 6 standards and I cannot add more.

Any ideas?

Sure you can :) Where are you trying?

The easiest way is to format a cell the way you want the style configured
then while the cell is selected go to Format> Style. Just type the name you
want the style to have then click 'OK'.

Alternatively, go to Format> Style, type a name, then click 'Modify' to
select the attributes... only consideration is that the active cell will
have the style applied to it when you 'OK' out.

Keep in mind that styles are workbook-specific, so if you want the styles to
be universally available it's best to create a custom template or a
Stationery file with the styles included. Base new workbooks on it.

Thank you, I have seen the trick and I have seen the possibility to import styles from other (opened!) documents. The methods are quite different from MS-Word, where you can store styles in Normal-Documents for having everytime. But it is helpful.
