cell formatting saves as images.......

Hi, When I apply a corners and shadows to my layout cell,
it saves it as an image. When I add to my page and
strecth the left panel cell to fit page, it saves it
again as a new image. I have so many images saved for
just one border? how do I get around this and can I
delete all the ones saved? This is a drag and driving me
crazy lol.
