cell height adjustment

I've been able to adjust the height of all cells in past
worksheets by clicking the upper left corner to highlight
the whole sheet and then double-clicking a line to adjust
all. I've been given a spreadsheet where the process is
not completely working...some cells change, some don't.
Perhaps there's been a manual line height entered, I don't
know. How can I get the entire spreadsheet to format the
rows to the correct height for each cell? Thanks much.

Select the rows you want, or in your case the entire sheet, then right
click, then click row height and adjust to the desired height.

But won't that adjust each row to the same height? These
rows have different contents (some one line, some two or
three)and I need each row to be the right height for each
of the contents.
