Cell References/Names

MonkeyHanger

I have two sheets in my workbook. Sheet1 is able to see all cell references
in both Sheet1 and Sheet2. The Sheet2 is only able to see references to cells
contained on Sheet2.

How can I make the cell references visible to both sheets?

Thanks

Hi,

There are three possibilities.

Possibility 1:

1. On Tools menu, click Options.
The Option dialog box displays.
2. Click the View Tab.
3. Under Windows Option, select the Formulas check box.
4. Click OK.
This will displays the formulas for cell you have defined.
Note: You have follow this procedure for each work sheet. Named ranges will
only display the named Name with prefix"=".

Possibility 2:

You might have just copied and Pasted a cell value between sheet with out
using the Paste Special command in the Edit menu. Therefore, Absolute
reference are not diaplayed.

Possibility 3:

Do one of the following:
a. Click a cell.
b. On the Tools menu, point to Formula Auding, and then click Trace Precedent
You call also click Trace dependents and so on to check the formulas
embeded
with the cell.
-or-

a. Click a cell.
b. On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Formula Auditing.
The Formula Auditing toolbar is displayed. You can click on any of
the five
buttons related to Auditing of this cell.
