Cell Text Alignment

Two columns in a table. One column the text will align center.
The other column will not center the text in the cell.

If I only have one row of text, it centers & justifies perfectly.

Cindy,
Maybe you have an extra blank paragraph before or behind the text.
Maybe you applied space before/after the text paragraph.
Maybe there is an indent in that particular cell.

I did use an extra space to provide space before and after my text in the
cell. How can I achieve the same thing a different way?

If I delete the extra space in the cell that is not centered and add it to
the other cell, than the cell I just removed the space from automatically
centers.

How do I tell if I have an extra blank paragrah.

PS- Thanks for being so quick with the reply!

Cindy,
Have you got non printable characters turned on, if not click on the ¶
button on your toolbar.
See here: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm

If there is a ¶ above or beyond your text delete it. If you still want space
before or after your text go to Format - Paragraph - under space before and
after set by increments of 6 points.
