CELL WRAP

I COPY AND PASTE LARGE PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS INTO EXCEL.
When i paste into the cell it wraps the text and adjust
the cell so as to make the cell huge in height. Is there
a way to "turn off" this auto wrap.

As it stands right now i have to paste the item...then
format the cell to turn off word wrap.

After doing 100 items ...this gets old

thanks for any help

Jlp,

Not sure about before you paste, but afterwards, right
click the cell and select format cells. Under the Alignment
tab, uncheck wrap text.

there's a much easier way

select either the entire workbook or just the cells where
you normally paste text
format... cells... turn off the wrap.
it is applied to the cells you selected all at once

Click the sqare at the top-right of your spreadsheet. The
entire sheet should be highlighted. Click your right
mouse button and click on format. Then click the
alignment tab. Near the bottom left is a check box for
wrap text. Shut this off. If you have multiple sheets,
after highlighting the current page, click on the other
sheet tabs before entering the format window.
