Certificate not in Trusted Root Certification Authorities store

I used selfcert.exe to create a digital signature for my Excel macro, when I
view my certificate details I see the following message under Certificate
Information: "This CA Root Certificate is not trusted. To enable trust,
install this certificate in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities
store.". Certificate status is "This CA Root certificate is not trusted
because it is not in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.". The
certificate itself is marked with a circled red "X" .
