Cgi.bin problems

When trying to publish my web page to a new host (extensions have been
loaded), it get an error: Server error: 'cgi.bin' does not refer to a page
or folder in this web. It may be a page or folder in a subweb or it could be
a badly formated URL.
How do I fix this problem?

It should be cgi-bin not cgi.bin

Browse to your web using Windows Explorer and if it is actually named cgi.bin rename it to cgi-bin
Then open your web and recalculate hyperlinks.
Then try publishing.

I had to write down the error and I mis-read it. It does say "Server error:

I also have this problem trying to publish to Yahoo. It will say that about
different folders which I know are loaded.

Have your host reinstall / repair the extensions for your web.

I was able to uninstall and reinstall the server extensions myself but to no
avail. I even published my old web pages from my original provider to my
hard drive and tried to publish this to my new server but same problem.

Got an answer from my provider. They suggested I rename to cgi-bin
file/folder so something else as the same file/folder is being used somewhere
else on the web page. The re-calculate the hyperlinks. I'll try that.

My host suggested that the error was caused by the same file being used
elsewhere on my webpages, that I should rename to something like cgibin,
recalucate the hyperlinks, and publish. So far it is working in that I am
able to publish.
