"ch"

Today my MSWord 2002's formatting changed. My ruler now has numbers in "ch" rather than inches. I tried tools, options, general, measurement in "inches" but it didn't work. I'm using Windows XP, if that matters

Any ideas?

This a result of having a Far East/Asian language enabled.

You can rectify the issue using the following steps:

- In Word press ALT+F11 to open the VB Editor
- Press Ctrl + g to open an Immediate window
- Type or copy/paste the following in the Immediate window and press
Enter at the end of the line:

Options.UseCharacterUnit =False
