Change bar colors

I see how to double click on a bar and change the color but how you change a
selection of them at once?

Hi koolkat,

Try Format > Bar Styles to change a style, or select multiple and
choose Format > Bar.

Hikoolkat ,

First select the tasks you want by click and drag over the Task Name, or
select the first and Shift-Click the last, or Ctrl-Click individual tasks so
all the tasks you want are highlighted. Format/Bar... and enter the format
you want.

If you have specific colours and bar image for specific tasks you could also
set a flag to it and add the flag to the bar format section and then any bar
you "tick" for that flag value will change to that scheme.

Select Multiple and "Format -> Bar" only applies to the last one clicked for
selection (i can see all of the tasks selected). I'm going nuts on this!

Hi MJ,

Works here with Project 2007 SP-1 and the Infrastructure update.
Select a task, CTRL + click to select other tasks , Format > Bar --
change color or shape -- all works. When you are selecting multiple
bars are they of the same type -- i.e. all summary, all milestones,
all regular tasks? If I select a summary bar, milestone, and
regular bar (nonsummary, non-milestone) I do not get consistent
results.

All of the task are of the same type! That's why I'm going nuts. I'm doing
exactly what I supposed to - I think... .

It's the Portuguese version o MS Project 2007 SP1, it must be a bug with
this version.

I did the work around of flag every task I which to assign the same bar
color, etc., but the multiple selection should have worked...

PS The multiple selection works with text format with the task Names, on
the task panel on the left.

Hi MJB,

It sounds as though you are doing everything correctly, so there may
be an issue with the Portuguese version. I'm glad you've found a
work around for the time being.

Perhaps an upcoming service pack may solve the problem.
