Change billing category from Standard on timesheet

Hi
I have set the default timesheet creation mode to use current assignments to
prepopulate the timesheets with any assigned tasks. This works well as it
shows the planned hours and allows the user to import the timesheet into the
task. However is uses "Standard" as the billing category which is not the
correct timesheet line classification I want to use. How do I as the
administrator or the user change the billing category for the prepopulated
lines?

If I do not prepopulate the assigned tasks the user cannot import the
timesheet information to the task.

any help gratefully recieved.

Hi David,

from my understanding there is actually a shortfall in functionality. Only
Standard can be used to import task information. sorry to say :(

Many thanks for the reply. Do you know if the reverse works, eg add the line
item to the timesheet with the required billing category and update this with
progress reported against the task? I tried this without much success, the
time I reported against the task wasn't updated to the line on the timesheet.
