Change black background to white

I've inserted AutoCAD drawings into a word 2000 doc. My
company uses black backgrounds in AutoCAD. When I insert
them into word they are also black. I need to be able to
change the background color in word. I was able to change
the actual drawing from colors to black and white in the
format box. Is there anyway to do this in word?

If the AutoCAD images are editable in a graphics program, you could use the
graphics program to create a negative image which might suit your purposes.

I use Autocad set up to have a black background and have
never had them show up black in word. I export the drw as
an r12 dxf and import it and it's fine.
