Change color of arrow in auto-filter drop down box

When I use the auto-filter feature in Excel the down arrow for the drop down
box turns from black to blue. After working with this all day it gets hard to
tell the black from the blue, especially with a wide spreadsheet. I would
like to change the color of the selected column drop down box arrow to a
brighter color to make it easier to see when I want to switch columns.

I don't know if this can be done programmatically or not, but there are no
Excel or System preferences that will get it done.

If it helps, notice that the arrow buttons themselves take on a darker shade
when filtering on any given fields and you can also give the ol' peepers a
break by using a slightly higher level of zoom.

Hi relo,

That's been a tiny peeve of mine for many years. I sent my request for a
change of this behavior in to Microsoft and suggest that you do the same.

Just go to the Excel Help menu and choose the send feedback to Microsoft
option.

I'm not holding my breath that this will ever change, but if enough people
send a request then it might happen.
