We just merged with a company that has a ton of Project volume licenses. We
want to deploy some of the licenses on our computers. Our problem is that
our new model for the newley merged company is each division will be
marketing its own brand name. Basically we are all trying to avoid using
the parent company's name on things except we will still try to keep our
volume discounts on purchases and services through each division.
When we go to install the Project 2003 volume license package the registered
name and user is "Network Admin" and "Parent Company". Each of our
divisions what to change this so our own names appear. I have tried to use
Orca to edit the PRJPROE.msi file and add the property "COMPANYNAME" and
enter "My Company" but this does not seem to work. I have also tried to
create an MST file with this information as well, but I can't get that to
change the default either.
Where is this information stored and how can I alter it?
