change data in multible forms

Hello,

Can someone tell me if there is a possibility to change data in multiple
InfoPath forms? I have somewhat like 1000 documents. I would like to do
something like a data migration on this.
example:

if the field = 1 then make it one
if the field = 2 then make it two

The documents are in a SharePointlib. with versioning. Incrementing version
is no problem. But the documents which are published should stay this way!

Does anyone has useful tip/hints?
