Change datasheet color

J

Jackie

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the color of
a datasheet that has multiple records but the color may be
different for each record based on a field value. I know
you can change the whole view but I only want to change
specific records. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jackie

Only possible with A2K or higher using ConditionalFormatting.

If you use Form view rather than Datasheet view, you can adjust the colours.

A form defined as Continuous Forms can be made to look very like a
datasheet. You can then use Conditional Formatting (see the Format menu) to
get row-by-row variation in presentation, determined (if you like) by field
content.

Hi Stephen

I'm not sure you are right here! I've inserted code in the past that has
done just this... every other record has a darker background than its
predecessor... I downloaded it in mdb format as a demo and it worked very
well... problaem is I can't find it now! But I'll have a look around...

Tom.
