Alt-Shift-D only uses the Short Date format from Control Panel | Regional
and Language Options.
You get a longer format if you insert the entire date and time (Alt-Shift-
F) and then delete the timestamp.
You could also change the Short Date format in Control Panel to one of your
liking, but that obviously affects its use in other programs. Remember
that in that screen in Control Panel, you can type in whatever date/time
format mask you want - you're not limited to the choices in the dropdown
box.
