Yes. MSN is the only email I'm using at the moment.
Uninstalling Outlook Connector hasn't gone well. When I try to open my
MSN
mail in Outlook I get the error "The set of folders cannont be opened.
An
unexpected error has occurred. MAPI was unable to load teh information
service MSCON.dll. Be sure the service is correctly installed and
configured.
Next I'm going to reinstall Outlook Connector and try using only the
MSN
calendar as suggested below.
:
So your hotmail/msn account is your only mail account? You can set it
up
as
the default and you don't need to have a second data file in your
profile.
AFAIK only iphone can't sync with it.

I uninstalled the Outlook Connector but the change in calandar
behavior
remained.
It's really important to me that all my appointments be on a single
calendar
that is synced with my phone. I don't use my local outlook inbox (in
Personal
Folders) for anything and it would be lots of work to move each of
my
incoming schedule items there before responding. Next I plan to back
up
my
mail and then uninstall and reinstall Outlook in order to try to get
back
the
"before Outlook Connector" experience of all accepted appointments
being
on
my local calendar (which syncs with my Windows Mobile 6 device)
Any better ideas before I do this?
:
I thought you were making the appt. You'll need to move it to the
inbox
in
folder with the calendar you want it on on before you accept it or
move
the
accepted appointment to the calendar after you accept it - you
can't
change
which calendar it goes on any other way.
The office icon is where the file menu used to be.
http://www.xsolive.com/Outlook Screen shots/Forms/DispForm.aspx?ID=72
there is a move to command on the ribbon so you won't need to use
the
office
icon's move command.

I don't understand your reply. I don't see an info bar or office
icon
to
use
when I'm viewing the recieved meeting request or in the calendar
when
I'm
viewing items.
To clarify, my issue is that I'm using Outlook to view a recieved
meeting
request in my MSN account and want "accept" to place the meeting
on
my
default calendar (which is my Outlook local calendar).
:
That’s because when you are in that folder the connector uses
the
msn
acct
to create the new appt. You should see an infobar that says
'this
will
be
sent using msn acct' when you create the appointment. If you
want
it
in
another folder, you need to use office icon, move to....
command.

If I'm in the "personal folders" inbox and choose "file" "new"
"appointment"
it is added to the "Calendar" calendar.
If I'm in the MSN inbox in Outlook and choose "file" "new"
"appointment"
it
is added to the "My Calendar in" (username)"@msn.com"
calendar.
Before I installed Outlook Connector, no matter where I
created
an
appointment it was added to the local "Calendar" calendar,
which
is
the
behaviour I'm trying to have going forward.
:
if you create and save a new appointment in outlook while you
are
working
in
the inbox, which calendar is it added to?

message
I'm working on my Outlook 2007 and Windows Mobile 6 phone
to
sync
calendars
wirelessly. I'm stuck at a PC-only problem.
I installed Outlook Connector to sync my MSN (not hotmail)
calendar
with
my
local Outlook Calendar. This worked fine, however whenever
I
accept
new
meetings, they appear on my MSN calendar, not my local
Outlook
Calendar.
I've
checked at File, Data File Management that my local .pst is
the
default.
How
do I set things so my incoming schedule mails are tracked
on
my
local
Outlook
Calendar and then synced with my MSN calendar?
