change default calendar in 2007

i need to change the default calendar in office outlook 2007 to a new
calendar i use to sync to my blackberry as it will not sync to the default
calendar for some unknown reason. how do i go about this?

You can't without changing all of your default folders. By definition,
default folders are the folders in your default data store; i.e., the data
store marked as default on "Tools>Account Settings>Data Files". Change that
and you change the default folders. All of them. Most sync applications will
sync only with the default folders, but there are some apps that will allow
synching with non-default folders as well.

Sorry, the term should be "Account", Windows is "profile".

What type of email account? Are you using BES or Desktop Manager? If you
are using BES, you can't change the default calendar. If you are using DM,
you can sync any calendar you want.

Can I please follow up on the original question and ask for an alternative
because I have a similar issue as Frank, the original poster.

I have Outlook 2003 at work and am syncing my Contacts and Calendar to
Apple's MobileMe and then to Microsoft Entourage on my Mac. If I create
entries in the default Outlook calendar, these do not get synced to
Entourage. Instead, a new calendar is created in Outlook, called Entourage,
and I have to place all new meetings and events in this calendar for them to
be synced to the Entouorage program on my Mac.

However, the issue is that when someone sends me a meeting request at work,
it automatically appears in the default Outlook Calendar (so doesn't sync
across to Entourage). I can manually drag the appointments across from the
Outlook default calendar to the Outlook Entourage calendar but that is clumsy
and error-prone.

So, as an alternative, my question is: is there a way to automatically
duplicate/copy/sync events between different Outlook calendars or set up a
rule to automatically move/copy meeting requests into other calendars?

It's only meeting requests that are a problem: the ones from other people
automatically appear in the default calendar, and if I originate a request
from the non-default (Outlook Entourage) calendar it warns me that
accepts/declines will not be recorded.

Finally, one of the responses from Bob Tillman in this chain said that if
you change the default calendar folder you change all of them. What are the
repercussions of that? Will it cause a problem? (And how do I do it if I
think it's worth the risk?!)
