Change default graph colors

Hi,
I'm hoping that someone can please help me to change the default color
that Excel uses in its graphs. It wastes so much time going back int
every graph and changing the colors away from those ugly default color
- is there any shortcut I can use?
Thanks

There are two approaches. First, make a custom chart style. Make a chart
with all the formatting you like, then choose Chart Type from the Chart
menu, choose the Custom Types tab, click the User Defined choice near
the bottom, click the Add button, enter a name and description, and OK
your way out. When you make a new chart, navigate to your custom one,
instead of the type you were using.

The other approach is to change the color palette. Go to Options on the
Tools menu, and click the color tab. Those bottom two rows, left to
right, are the colors used by Excel for the first 8 series in a chart.
Select each one and click Modify to change it. When you've developed a
palette you like, you can open a new (or existing) workbook, and use the
Copy Colors From dropdown on this dialog to copy the palette to the
active workbook.
