change .doc to jpg

i used word to change a square picture to an oval picture... now the oval
picture is saved as a .doc.

now i need to insert just the oval picture into a split cell of the
business card section of word...i cant insert the doc file of the saved
picture into business card section of word..
so i need to change the saved oval picture .doc file to a jpg file or
something that the business card section will accept... i tried copying and
pasting it to paint but paint reduces thepicture quality?

i cant copy and paste it into paint. when i pasted it into paint, paint
change it to a really poor resolution.

Go back to the original graphic file (before you started mucking around with
it in Word). Open it in a graphics application. Set the size you want to end
up with in Word. Set the shape. Set the finished resolution. Save as a JPG.

Then import that into Word.
