change english default language to french in office xp ?

I got office xp in english, I tried to change default language to french,
using Start/Microsoft Office Tools/Microsoft Office XP language settings, but
no changes! I need help...

Hi Vivien,

Are you referring to the default language for typing or for the menus? The English retail editions of MS Office XP and Office 2003
include proofing tools for French, English and Spanish but do not include the files for changing the menu language.
