Change Font from lowercase to UPPERCASE

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.0 (Cheetah) Is there a way to select all the text in the workbook and convert the case from lowercase to upper?

First, please explain how you're managing to run Office 2008 on a
Cheetah-based Mac ‹ that version of Office requires Tiger 10.4.9 or later.

But if you do have most any version of Excel running on whatever operating
system you're using you should find that the =UPPER() function will do it.

Perhaps I got the OS incorrect. I'm not sure how to execute the =UPPER () command. Do I select all the text and then what?

I didn't fully understand your question ‹ there is no provision in Excel for
universal case conversion of all text in the _workbook_ or even on just an
entire worksheet. No disrespect intended, but unless you have an especially
unique requirement all uppercase text is generally something to be avoided.

What I referred to is a built-in Function ‹ not a command -- for converting
case of alpha content in specific cells. It isn't for transforming complete
books or sheets. You "could" create a new sheet & use the UPPER function to
replicate the content from another sheet. For example, if your existing
content begins in A1 of Sheet1 & the new sheet is Sheet5;

In A1 of Sheet5 use the formula =UPPER(Sheet1!A1)

Then copy it however may columns across then however many rows down.

That's likely to cause unwanted error messages to appear in some cells & how
to go about dealing with that would vary depending on the nature of the
sheet's content. A lot of work to render what IMHO would be something very
difficult on the eyes.

Perhaps someone else will have another option to offer.
