Change from CD install to using administrative install point

I have "inherited" many workstations with Office XP that were installed using
CD's. Is there a simple way to re-install so they will use my administrative
installation point and get all the custom mst settings applied?

Can I just Update the workstation as if I had updated my administrative
installation point (msiexec... REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=vomus /qb)?

If not,
Can I use an OPS file to do this?

If not,
Will I need to totally remove office and reinstall?
