Change h:mm to Chargeable units

I am building a timesheet. I have formated the "Time In
column as h/mm. as withe the time out columns and get
total time. BUT, now I need to divide Total time by six
to get out company's chargeable unit (tem minute
invervals) I can't seem to divide by six and get a value
that it a number, and end up with some crazy results. Can
anyone help? I'm a newbie, and this isn't in the For
Dummies Book.
