Change Horizontal Scale

PowerPoint won't let me insert Years into a chart; I have the years as data but it displays 1, 2, 3, etc. and won't let me reformat that to 1992, etc., and ignores the numbers in the spreadsheet. Any ideas?

You don't provide enough detail to tell for sure but it sounds like you're
putting the years in one of the series columns or category rows. You want
the years to be treated as *labels*, not as *data values* so they need to be
in the first column or the first row of the datasheet.
