Change "Licensed to" info on Administrative Install

P

P Noble

I'm doing an Administrative Install of Office XP.
Everything works fine but on the product registered to
page, it shows the current user name. The company name is
fine but I can't seem to change the user info.
Example:
This Product is licensed to:
user name <----
Company name
Product ID: ********

I would like to change the user name to say "MIS
Department" or be blank. I don't want the users to be
concerned about having products licensed in their name.
Because they are not, they are licensed to the company.

Hi P.,

The information can be changed through
Tools=>Options=>User Info in Word and other
Office apps. The name on the splash screen
is the name stored for 'author' of documents
in the document properties. It has more
uses than the splash screen and Help=>About listing.
