change "licensed to" name

Hi,

A user who just went through a very bitter divorce wants to change the "This
produce is licensed to" name on the splash screen when Outlook XP opens. I
can't find a string in the registry. Anyone know how to alter this?

Thanks, Susan. That article tells how to change the company name in Office
XP programs and the username in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. I need to
change the "licensed to" name in Outlook XP.

Hi Gary,

I just used the 290528 article (How To: Change the
Company Name and User Name in an Office XP Program. I
just followed the step by step and it changed both the
splash screen and also the licensed to screen under help
about. Please not I was not able to use step 3, but step
6 through 12 worked like a charm. In addition to the Reg
Company I also changed the User Name here.

I too was unable to use this via step three. Implementing step 6 changes the
company name, but it has no effect on the "Licensed to" name on the splash
screen in Outlook.

Hi, Dennis,

What version of Office are you using, and what operating system?

I used the procedure Susan referenced and changed the entries in the
registry but the splash screen still shows the old company name. I did a
complete search of the registry for the old company name and it did not
return any results, is this is a hidden file somewhere ? I have removed and
reinstalled office but it still retains the old name. Any ideas ?
