Change Management Process in SharePoint Workspaces

Has anyone in the group explored the potential for SharePoint sites to have a further list for Change Management on top of Risk and Issues? If so have they also been able to include this information in OLAP cubes for reporting purposes in the same fashion that Issues and Risks can be reported?

Hi Dominic

The Olap cube data comes from the Reporting database. Unfortunately
new fields added to risk, issues or deliverables, or new custom lists
(change control) don't make it into the Reporting database. So you
need a custom solution to meet requirements around this data.

Mike,

Thanks for your input - I am assuming that it would be possible using MDX
expressions and other SQL witchcraft (I know virtually nothing about SQL
itself) to deliver the reporting I am suggesting I was just wondering if
anyone in this community had addressed this fairly common requirement.

Dominic:

We've developed a solution to pull SharePoint content data into custom
enterprise fields. Once there, the information is then available through the
reporting database and the OLAP cube. That's how we've solved similar
requests in the past.
