Change Notes on Invitation

I'd like to add some notes and change times on an appointment I've added
attendees to but don't want to send an update to invitees. How do I do this
as it keeps me in a loop to either save and send update and won't let me exit
unless I choose not to save?? P.S. this is in Outlook 2007.

I don't think so. I looked up the Help > About Outlook and it has:

Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (12.0.6212.1000) SP1 MSO (12.0.6320.5000).
Part of Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007.

Unfortunately I'm at work so the system is locked down and I can't update it
- will installing SP2 definitely help me with this problem as I might be able
to request it?

Thank-you very much for your reply.

Do you have SP2 installed? See help, about if unsure.

What addins do you have installed? You may be able to fix it by disabling
one of the addins, otherwise it is fixed in sp2. I know live maps affected
it - possibly others that work with appointments will also.

See http://outlook-tips.net/archives/2008/20080827.htm for a workaround.
Also, if you close outlook and reopen, the previously created appointments
should allow save, no update sent.
