For the past several months have been unable to install ANY Office 2003
updates because the badly designed and badly programmed update process keeps
looking for files that DO NOT EXIST, not on my hard drive and not on the
Office 2003 Pro edition distribution CDs.

TEST THE UPDATE PROCESSES FOR A CHANGE DAMN IT!!!!

CREATE AN UPDATE PROCESS FOR OFFICE 2003 THAT WORKS!!!!

Can't anyone at Microsoft write decent code these days?

This is not Microsoft. This newsgroup is a peer to peer group with
volunteers and people giving their time to help other people like you. If
you can just stop for a minute and post back the error or file that you are
experiencing maybe someone can help you. Usually there is a very easy fix
for most issues that is brought on most of the time by the user.

So instead of ranting repost with the exact error that you are experiencing
and let's see if someone can help to straighten out your present issue.

And to add to what Peter has said, try groups.google.com for your error
message - chances are it is a known problem caused by user error.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
