Change Office Required Update

GaWildcatAlum

I just installed office on my new laptop and when I ran update, there were to
REQUIRED updates related to the Gramar Checker for French Language documents.
I'm willing to bet that the number of users in the United States who need to
check the gramar in french language documents is extrememly small. WHY would
it be REQUIRED? OPTIONAL I can understand.

Please review the prior posts on this issue.
The English language editions of MS Office 2003 include
French, English and Spanish proofing tools.

There is apparently a possible security issue with the
grammar tools. Security updates are listed as critical.
However, the update site is to keep your product current
so that when you install the product or change a feature
you can do so without needing to stop at that moment to
get an update first.
