change orientation of text in a text box?

I know this is an old one. I'm looking for a simple way to have the text
in a text box sideways, like on the spine of a book on a shelf.
Currently I use the tilt 1.2 multi label control from Cruquius but that
packs all the labels into one control and needs careful tweaking to line
up the each label with the detail columns. I was wondering if there is
an alternative, simple text box control out there that displays one bit
of text either always vertically (i.e. rotated 90 degrees) or by
allowing the orientation to be set in a simple manner like in an Excel
cell. (plus all the other usual properties like colour , font etc)

sorry Bill, that just centres text in a vertical axis rather than
horizontal. I want the text to actually run vertically instead of
horizontally. Steven does have other examples but as far as I can tell
they all use the same tilt control that I am.
