Change Pens

Let's say that you have a document that is in black. You'd now like to
write in blue from this moment forward (regardless where in the
document you are). IS there a way to do this? Kind of like you're
picking up a different colored pen.

You would click on the Font Color Icon on your toolbar and change the
color although I don't know why anyone would want a black background in
Word.
