change picture format

M

Micayla Bergen

Apparently old versions of word enabled the format of a
picture to be changed, i.e. from jpeg to tif etc. i am
unable to find this function in word 2002 - is there a
comparative setting?
Thanks

I always change formats outside Word, using Paint Shop
Pro, IrfanView, MS Paint, etc.

I may be wrong but I don't recall Word ever having had this function. Word
hold images in its own internal format and they cannot be extracted in their
original form. http://www.gmayor.com/extract_images_from_word.htm may be of
use to you, but the best way to deal with graphics for Word is to prepare
them outside the application.
