Change Position Type Blank

When right-clicking on the shape and choosing "Change Position Type" the
dialogue box that pops up is empty, there are no types to choose.

This is only happening on one user's machine. If someone else opens the
same file on a different computer, the change position type function is fine.
Any thoughts on what settings need to be changed on my problem user's
machine?

I don't recognise what menu this is. What shape?

To answer Paul's question, this is when working with shapes in an org chart.

To fix this particular problem, I had to temprorarily give the user admin
rights to this workstation. I then opened Visio, went to Help and ran the
"Detect and Repair" option. I UNchecked the "restore my shortcuts while
repairing" option and I CHECKED the "disccard my customized settings and
restore default settings" options and then hit "start". I honestly don't
know what keystrokes or settings she originally hit to screw up her
configuration but this process corrected this particular user's issues. Good
luck!
