Hi,
Does anyone know how to change the language of PWA in Project Server 2007
with WSS 3.0 from English to Portuguese? I`d really appreciate any help at
all.

Thanks,
Ignacio.

hi Ben,
Thanks for your post, i believe that Brian Smith is talking about
language packs for office Sharepoint Server instead of Windows Sharepoint
Services.
I really don´t know how to do it with windows sharepoint services.
Thanks,
Ignacio.

Hi Ignacio,
I see the confusion, hopefully I can clear it up somewhat - I do wish
Microsoft would talk about MOSS (sharepoint server) and WSS instead of
generically calling them both sharepoint. As an aside, MOSS is built on top
of WSS, so installing MOSS installs WSS in an implementation.

There are two ways to interface to Project Server, either PWA or Project
Pro. In order to change the language for PWA, I assume that you will need to
install the language pack for Microsoft Office Project Server, though I must
admit I haven't tried it. This should change the PWA interface, and you won't
need the MOSS language pack.

Just to muddy the waters even more...

There isn't a language pack that is just for Project Server 2007. There are
generic language packs for the various "flavours" of Office Server such as
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, Microsoft Office Forms Server and of
course Microsoft Office Project Server. To further add to the confusion the
download page
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...6b-8689-4768-bff0-cbb511599a45&DisplayLang=en
does not distinguish between those that are supported for Project and those
that are not. I am currently working to get this resolved. So to be sure
you are loading a language that works for Project Server 2007 - and also to
ensure that you follow the right instructions for installation (which
differs from MOSS to Project Server 2007), please read the TechNet article
at
http://technet2.microsoft.com/Offic...38b1-4187-bbd5-ef9f53c6f9031033.mspx?mfr=true.
This page contains the list of the subset of languages that will work for
Project.

Best regards,

Brian.
