Change Service Pack CD order info from FREE to "charges apply"

K

KS

When I ordered the Service Pack update for Office 2003 as a physical CD (due
to being on dialup) - the info said it was FREE. When I actually went thru
the order process - it turned out there is a charge for the CD as well as a
charge for shipping. It will cost me $12.45 canadian to get an update that
users who are lucky enough to have highspeed internet get for FREE. This is
very frustrating! Microsoft used to send these CDs out free including
shipping. Microsoft can surely afford to offer these updates free to its few
customers still on dialup.

office, and have never been charged for shipping and handling. But, I
haven't tried it within the last year.

Milly: I just dug out the last cd I ordered from MS..Office 2003 SP1. It's
still in the mailing envelope. Postage on it is 60 cents. Postmarked
August 4, 2005.

I paid nothing. I was never asked to input a credit card.

Go figure?
